My opinion on my 2006 GTO.

If you're planning to purchase one of these vehicles, it's a good idea to carefully inspect the sewing seams on the rear seats. They sometimes come apart due to lack of care and the heat buildup inside the car on hot days. To me, the design of the interior is boring. Also, you may find that the paint on steering wheel spokes is peeling from prolonged exposure to the sun. They're not expensive to purchase (new), but they can be a slight challenge to install if you're doing it yourself. The sound from the stock Blaupunkt Radio - 5.0

I have been working for GM dealers for the last 14 years. I believe these cars are the most reliable GM product within recent years. Very few trouble areas and a only a small percentage of cars were affected. The stiching problem is very common to a great many exotic cars as well, due to the quality of the leather . It is of a very high standard ,very soft and wears very well. It also requires maintenance to prevent drying. I have owned 3 GTOs and have had no problems other than peeling paint on the door handles which is more of a nuisance than problem. They do have their own idiosyncrasies but that adds to character to the vehicle. They are fast, yet docile to drive , reasonably economical, excellent seats, handling etc. I could go on forever extolling their virtues. Beware of substandard collision repairs. A great deal of these cars have been crashed. In fact the attrition rate is high enough to warrant collector car status much sooner than one would reasonably anticipate. Not many were produced to start with and over half have been destroyed. Get one while you car and enjoy it. - 4.0

great vehicle. plenty of power when you need it to be there. styling leaves something to be desired, but that's kind of what makes the car so cool. nobody really knows what you are driving until they pull next to you and you pull away from them. this is a great vehicle that never got it's recognition.
